Mr. Koh has a tremendous amount of experience teaching English, having taught English in more than 3 countries (Singapore, Australia and China). He is a qualified English teacher with the most widely respected English teaching qualification in the world - the CELTA from the prestigious Cambridge University and is in the middle of his Master of Education in English language teaching.
About His Past Teaching Experience (from 2003)
Mr. Koh's vast and varied experience in teaching English around the world is what makes him stand out. He has taught English to students of different ages (primary school, secondary school, young adults and adults) for different examinations (PSLE, O levels and IELTS) and in different countries (Singapore, China and Australia).
His students greatly appreciate the unique way he teaches Grammar, Vocabulary, Writing and Comprehension. As a voracious reader and post-graduate student in English teaching, he stays up-to-date with the latest English teaching theories and methods and applies them in his teaching.
Present Primary School Teaching (Primary 5 and 6)
Mr. Koh decided to focus on teaching English to primary school students (mainly primary 5 and 6) because of his desire to help young Singaporeans gain a solid foundation in English at this young age. His desire is to see young Singaporeans not only speak and write better English, but also do well in the PSLE examination.
Due to his varied experience and his familiarity with teaching different English examinations and from different syllabi, he specializes in teaching Grammar, Vocabulary, Writing, Reading Comprehension and Speaking.
